Cenotaphs
Memorials for those whose remains lie elsewhere.
The remains of these sculptures lie elsewhere - stumps and roots rotting in the ground, the wood utilized for building, for paper, for fire. What is left is a relic, a small part of the whole. As with all relics, there is a story to tell; the way of the grain, of insects, of chainsaws, of weather, and a bit of each of us. We listen to each story, we ask questions,and maybe, we offer our prayers.
